Kudos to our cricket team, ably led from the front by Captain Rohit Sharma, for trouncing the Ireland team by 8 wickets in their first outing during the ongoing T-20 World Cup tournament. Of course, due credit should be given to our pace bowlers, who swung the ball, both ways, to skittle out the Ireland team for a meage score of 97.
The opening spells of Bumrah, Aarshadeep and even Hardik Pandya was praise- worthy. But they cannot sit on their laurels and guard against getting overconfident against Pakistan on Sunday the 9th. We hope that Virat Kohli will be keen to avoid his atrocious shot selection against Pakistan bowlers and as in the past, play patiently to conquer them.
We wish the team all the best on Sunday.
