The landscape of actors in Hollywood is always changing and just because an actor is popular it does not guarantee them good movie roles. This week we are taking a look at some high-profile firings that took place on the sets of some big movies.
Megan Fox found fame with the “Transformers” franchise. Fox starred in the first two films that came out in 2007 and 2009. When it came time for the third instalment, “Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon,” it was assumed that she would star in it as well. However, before filming began she did an interview with a magazine where she criticised director Michael Bay and likened him to Hitler. Bay later disclosed that the film’s executive producer Steven Spielberg had asked for Fox to be fired. She was replaced with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Ryan Gosling found himself in an awkward situation in 2009 when he was supposed to star in the movie “The Lovely Bones.” He gained weight for the role after imagining that the character should be heavy. Apparently he showed up on set and shocked director Peter Jackson with his appearance. Jackson wasn’t happy with the weight Gosling had gained and decided not to cast him.
