Good strategy

The policy of Oscar-winning star Natalie Portman to stay away from characters is the best strategy every artist should adopt (“I don’t like to compare myself to a character: Natalie Portman,” July 17, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the 43-year-old actress told US TV show ‘Extra’: “I don’t really like to compare myself to a character because I actually make a big effort to choose characters who have very different experiences to me.” She likes to reserve the real-life experience for her life offscreen.

Film and TV artists are public figures, their brilliant work makes a huge impact on their fans’ lives all over the world, but the roles artists perform for film and drama which are completely scripted, people start considering them as their own characters they are performing on screen which is completely against the reality.
