It’s a highly laudable decision and a smart move by the US President Joe Biden to pass the torch of the US presidential race to Vice President Kamala Harris (“Kamala Harris, the best hope to stop the Trump juggernaut,” July 23, Gulf Today website).
The real political tough time for former President Donald Trump will start now because he will face a much stronger presidential candidate in Kamala Harris than Joe Biden. His ultimate desire to become the second-time president of the United States of America will not be an easy task for him at all.
According to the report, Kamala Harris finds herself feted by Democrats as their best hope to stop Donald Trump’s comeback. Despite blazing a trail as the first woman, Black and South Asian Vice President in US history, the 59-year-old Democrat long struggled with approval ratings as bad or worse than President Joe Biden’s. The last 12 months, however, have revealed a transformed Harris.
The real campaign of the upcoming US elections will start now after the heavyweight Democrats backed the nomination of Vice President of the United States of America Kamala Harris to defeat the unpredictable former US President Donald Trump.
