I have been a huge fan of Bollywood films since my childhood. My parents would watch films of veteran actors like Dilip Kumar, Raj Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Meena Kumari, Waheeda Rahman, and Dev Anand. Naturally, I grew up admiring my generation of actors like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. But what I like most is the strong culture of Bollywood. I have noticed that Indian actors are educated and civilised. I hear them on TV and they all talk very nicely. In fact, I would listen to them while I was growing up to imitate their mannerisms and style.
Even today, in the era of social media, young actors like Varun Dhavan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, or Ananya Panday, they all interact with their fans sensibly on social media or even in press conferences. I admire their choice of words and expressions. They all are great actors indeed and they have a huge fan following all across the globe, but at the same time they are well-behaved and humble. This is what I admire the most about Bollywood. I don’t want to become an actor like them, but I want to become a person like them for sure — humble and honest.
