Not all TV is good TV. Usually when a television show is billed as subpar, the plot and the acting quality goes along with it. However, this isn’t always the case and this week we are taking a look at some great acting performances that took place in TV shows that didn’t quite impress critics.
The show “Wednesday” did amass a decent fanbase, but when you compare it to the older “Addams Family” adaptations it does fall short and the critics were clear on this. One performance did stand out though. Jenna Ortega did a fantastic job playing Wednesday Addams. Ortega recieved a Golden Globe nomination and an Emmy nomination for her performance.
“The Good Doctor” was a strange show. It was a show that I would watch and then put off and then go back to watching only to switch it off again. The story centres around an autistic doctor played by Freddie Highmore whose acting wasn’t the best. Richard Schiff played neurosurgeon Aaron Glassman, the man who helped the main character and guided him. His performance was really good and the critics noticed.
In other news this week, turn to our Health pages to read about how to deal with back pain. We have all suffered from a sore back at one point or another from various reasons. Knowing how to manage the pain is important. For some this could mean doing light exercises to relieve the pressure while others may require complete rest to heal properly.
