Former Pakistani captain Babar Azam has been rested from the ongoing Test series against England, while star pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah were also not picked for the rest of the series. I feel they needed this break. They have been consistently playing for a very long time. They are match winners and world-class players. They badly needed this break. I appreciate selectors for giving them break. We should not forget that players are humans like us and they should be given rest and comfort. But many former players and YouTubers worldwide have started criticising the selection committee for leaving these players out of the series. I don’t know why they are thinking that way. If star players are not performing then they can rest and new players should be given the opportunity. This will help the team to find new talent. I remember Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Steve Smith and recently English captain Ben Stokes took a break to rejuvenate themselves. This is very natural and people should not take it otherwise, and let players feel good.
