During this interim when many of us are trying to make both ends meet we also perceive many who lack social skills. Ever since technology has taken over our lives we tend to sit and fiddle, fickle that you even tend to bump into someone. As a result, we don’t even know our neighbour. Everybody prefers staying in closed doors, or even when they are out and about they are mined deep into their own worlds.
Those good old days I spent in UAE with my neighbour was pretty phenomenal with cherished jiffies.
I always ask myself as to when will I ever get those days back? We used to have the time to hang out, wander around the corridors with other offspring, have fun and frolic.
Things out here have now changed radically. Even if we have the time people seldom make efforts to know each other.
Our lifestyle has taken most of us for a toss. People, especially the younger lot, are either too reserved or unaware of how to be social. Only when they need a helping hand do they move out of their zones and act so sympathetic and phony at the same time.
