There’s something about the idea of fall and scary movies that go so well together. This week we are taking a look at ten of the best horror movies that have come out over the last year.
“The Substance” has been making waves since its release back in May when it had its world premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Starring Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid the film tells the story of ageing and trying to stay young. Moore plays the main character who attempts to reverse the ageing process with scary consequences. The film, which was directed by Coralie Fargeat, ended up winning Best Screenplay at Cannes.
“Sting” is a film that pays homage to the good old fashioned 80s horror films. The movie stars Ryan Corr and Alyla Browne and tells the tale of a little girl who has a spider as a pet. Without giving too much of the plot away, that seemingly innocent pet transforms into a monster and mayhem ensues. If you have a fear of spiders you may want to avoid this one altogether.
