A case of vanity?

I dropped my phone and the case was open and so goodbye to a few hundred dollars for a new screen but now there might be a solution, even if it is rather expensive. Truly a first world problem. Two Melbourne brothers have created a $16,000 ($US10,569 or £8,155) iPhone case. It does look pretty! It’s designed for customers that want to “express themselves.” Is the expression going to be “I have more money than sense?”

Why are so many people spending so much money, taking so many risks, annoying so many people in order to be ‘special’ rather than living a normal life being the best they can be?

We do need to head back to a simpler time when your value was based on your character and contributions to society, not on your possessions and photos.
