Over the last few years, we have seen this trend happen with certain streaming services that cancel a show after a season or two. This week we are taking a look at some shows that Netflix decided were not good enough to be continued even though audiences disagree.
The show “Kaos” is a dark comedy about Greek mythology. The first season came out this year starring Aurora Perrineau, Jeff Goldblum, Janet McTeer and several other well-known names. The show is really good and quite funny. It is a mystery therefore as to why Netflix decided not to renew it for a second season. The first season had this build up in it which implied that the cast would be back for another season, but alas it won’t.
The crime drama “Seven Seconds,” which came out in 2018, stars Regina King as the mother of a Black teenager who is killed by a white policeman in the US. The show speaks about serious issues of racism and violence and King went on to win an Emmy for her role. Despite its success, Netflix decided to axe the series only two months after it aired. A second season could have been used to highlight more serious issues and it is a mystery as to why it would be cancelled.
