After the 3-0 drubbing Test series by the New Zealand team, finally our Captain Rohit Sharma was left with no other option but to take full responsibility for this series loss in India, to become the second captain to lose most tests in home turf.
No doubt, it was a team failure during the first two tests. However, the final Test loss was only due to the arrogance of our captain to take on the New Zealand pace battery, which backfired. He had no patience, even while playing a Test
match. Our team had ample time and more than 250 overs to knock out the target of 147. Even if they had taken a single run in each over, they could have finished the match on Day 4. Ironically, he chose the T-20 mode to knock out the target and opened the door for Ajaz to clean up our spin.
One thing is sure that Rohit Sharma and his boys are going to have a herculean task to qualify for the ICC Test Championship finals, which the captain himself threw away, right from the Bengaluru Test and the final nail at Wankhade Stadium.
