Saeed Ajmal International Cricket Academy (SAICA) defeated Kings Cricket Academy by 81 runs during a tour match on Friday.
Batting first, SAICA scored 368 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 30 overs. In reply, Kings Cricket Academy were all out for scored 281 in 20.1.
The match was played at the Kings School Al Barsha Ground.
Saeed Ajmal international Cricket Academy teams are touring the UAE as a part of their further development of selecting emerging talents.
Both the teams used this opportunity to showcase their skills.
For Kings Cricket Academy it was an ideal learning experience from the master of spin and a true legend of Pakistan spin bowling with the added bonus of watching him actually playing.
Kings Cricket Academy coach Ash Mohammed said: “Winning or losing becomes less important when we see kids showcase their individual talent and confidence to perform at the best of their ability whilst still learning to improve further.”
Ajmal was very impressed with the quality of cricket and speed of growth in talent in the UAE as he himself picked out the man of the match Hamad Arshad, the captain of Kings School, for his outstanding all-round performance with both bat and ball.
