MBM Gulf CC thrash Chemietech by 9 wickets at BS Super Star T20

MBM Gulf CC thrashed Chemietech by nine wickets in a BS Super Star T20 tournament match at the Eden Gardens Ajman. Chemietech batting first posted 155 for the loss of eight wickets. Sapandeep Singh (42), Shivam (23) and Sandeep Singh Sandy (29) were their main scorers. MBM Gulf CC’s Shiraj Piya took four wickets while Tariq Mehmod and Umair Ali shared two each.
In reply, Waqas Ahmed (65) and Syed Maqsood (63), who remained unbeaten, helped MBM Gulf CC reach the target in 11.4 overs.
Ahmed and UAE national team players and MGM Gulf skipper Rohand Mustafa gave them the perfect start as they shared a 76-run stand for the opening wicket.
After the departure of Mustafa (21), Maqsood joined Ahmed and both put Chemietech bowlers to the sword. Maqsood was named man of the match.
In another match, Karwan Strikers CC defeated Defenders CC by 29 runs.
Batting first, Karwant Strikers scored 134 for the loss of six wickets. They built their innings around Jahandad Khan (45) and Abdul Shakoor (17).
Jahandad innings of 45 from 29 balls were studded with two boundaries and three towering sixes.
Ubaidullah KS (16) and Waheed Ahmad (14) were also among the runs for them.
Later, Arsalan and Jahandad wrecked havoc as Karwan Strikers bowled out Defenders CC for 105. Arsalan took three wickets while Jahandad bagged two. For his all-round efforts Jahandad was named as man of the match.
A total of five teams, including Chemietech CC, Defenders CC, Karwan Strikers, MBM Gulf CC and MGM Orakzai are taking part in the tournament, the final of which will be held on May 29.
