Dubai: du LaLiga High Performance Centre (HPC), the region’s premier development platform for LaLiga scouted talent, announced that a selection of its top talents arrived in Spain for the much anticipated annual LaLiga Scouting Camp.
For the first time this year, 16 Emirati players from Dubai and Abu Dhabi national clubs will join the HPC teams in Spain and participate in intensive training and competitive matches against some of LaLiga’s top youth teams including Sevilla FC and Malaga FC.
Their participation comes as part of partnership agreements signed by Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and Dubai Sports Council (DSC) with du LaLiga High Performance Centre earlier this year to power UAE football, providing young talents with exposure and experience in playing against the finest LaLiga clubs and raise their level of play in competitive football matches internationally.
In preparation for this trip, the UAE national players hailing from Al Jazira, Baniyas, Al Dhafra and Al Ain, Al Nasr, Al Wasl, Shabab Al Ahli and Hatta clubs, underwent intensive training at du LaLiga HPC, at the hands of LaLiga UEFA- Pro certified coaches. The fourth annual du LaLiga HPC trip is witnessing the largest team of athletes to date with 50 players between the ages of 14 and 16, and representing the top players selected by LaLiga scouts from across the four corners of the UAE.
The Camp kicked off with an intensive twice-a-day training program for the top talent teams in preparation for their first match against Cadiz scheduled on Aug. 19 followed by matches against Sevilla, Almeria, Granada and a grand finale against Malaga CF, scheduled on Aug. 29. Scouts from LaLiga will be present at training sessions and matches on the lookout for talents to invite for trials, providing them with a head start for a professional football career nationally or internationally.
The intensive Scouting Camp program has been designed by LaLiga’s UEFA-Pro certified coaches to give these athletes the experience of training and competing at pro-levels, developing their mental and physical strengths.
du LaLiga HPC has established a reputation for excellence since its establishment, winning the UAE National League Champions for three consecutive years.
It is today home to 150 high potential talent, hand-picked from across the nation and has become a scouting ground for national and regional clubs and national teams.
To date 17 du LaLiga HPC players have been invited for trials with Spanish LaLiga clubs and 10 players have been awarded professional contracts with national teams as well as regional and local clubs including Shabab al Ahli Dubai, Al Nasr, Al Ain and Nejmeh Club in Lebanon.
