The Jebel Ali Racecourse will stage its third meeting of the new season on Friday afternoon with a seven-race card, which is highlighted 1200m handicap for Thoroughbred.
The fourth race on the card carrying a prize purse of Dhs 105,000 and has attracted a quality filed of 16 runners. The race is sponsored by long serving partner of the Jebel Ali Racecourse, Romeo, Interior Factory LLC.
Another highlight of the card is 1600m race worth Dhs 105,000. The race features 10 runners with Top Clearance representing the colours of Jebel Ali’s main patron Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In the seven-race card, three are the maiden races.
Shareef Al Halawani, Jebel Ali racecourse manager, said: This is a very good card for the third meeting of the season.
“Since the start of the season the Jebel Ali has attracted big names and this week also some interesting contests lined up.”
Jebel Ali Racecourse will also celebrate the UAE’s 48th National Day with host of activities are lined up on the sidelines of the Friday’s race.
“We are delighted to see such strong fields lining up for our UAE National Day meeting on Friday.
“It’s like receiving a certificate of merit and it makes us very proud,” Halawani added.
