Dubai Sports City (DSC) has announced its extensive sports programme to start the year on a healthy note. A variety of programmes will be available in January for children as well as adults looking to keep fit and experience some of the best sports training facilities in the region.
With all programs designed for children as young as 1.5 years of age, in addition to programs catering to adults, each academy helps to build the foundations of skills development, athleticism and confidence development.
Commenting on the January sign-up season, Vijay Sajjanhar, Chief Financial Officer of DSC, said: “DSC is a supportive community that celebrates success on and off the field, and we believe that sports has the power to bring individuals and cultures together through a healthy lifestyle.
“This January, our sports programs will aim to provide an active and fun-filled experience for members of all ages to create unforgettable memories, while making life-long friends, learning new skills, and discovering hidden talents through athletics.”
Spanish Soccer Schools will kick-off the new season on Jan.5 in two venues: DSC Football Academy and The International School of Choueifat, Dubai. Programmes on offer for children include a half-season (15 weeks) course starting at Dhs.1,950 as well as a full-season (30 weeks) course starting at Dhs.3,780. Football courses are also available for parents and adults from Jan.13, starting at Dhs.1,176 for a 14-week training course.
Members of Spanish Soccer Schools will have access to world-class facilities with FIFA approved facilities (including two full-size outdoor pitches and one indoor pitch), top coaching staff (including ex-international players), tailored programmes for all age-groups and opportunities to interact with international teams via tournaments or player visits to the academy.
The new cricket term at the ICC Academy opens from Jan.7 onwards for a range of age groups for boys and girls, with a programme specially designed by international-level coaches to provide high-potential players with opportunities to join the UAE team.
The Babyshop Cricket Cubs is a great course for children between 3 and 6 years of age, along with their parents to learn and enjoy cricket for 15 weeks and starting from Dhs.1,575 for one session a week. A 15-week course designed for girls between 9 and 16 years of age is also available and starts at Dhs.600.
The ADIB Warriors programmes target a variety of age groups, starting from under 7 years of age up to the ADIB Senior Warriors for players aged 18 and above. A 15-week course starts at Dhs.2,047.5 for one session a week. One-to-one coaching courses as well as ball boy opportunities in international matches are also available as part of the ICC Academy.
The Claude Harmon III Performance Golf Academy is providing the Junior Development Programme for young golfers between 3 and 15 years of age, with both beginner and intermediate courses starting on Jan.5 until March 7.
The programme will include one group coaching session per week, one supervised practice session per week and one kid’s course per week. The beginner course start at Dhs.870 and intermediate course start at Dhs. 1,500.
Children who sign-up will have the chance to learn from trainers of sporting champions, giving those participating the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of popular sports under the guidance of qualified and expert coaches from each respective discipline.
