UAE equestrian team trains at Al Forsan International Sports Resort

Al Forsan International Sports Resort is hosting the training camp of the UAE equestrian team, who will represent the country in the Five Star Nations Cup organised by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAERF) in Abu Dhabi on Feb.26.

The national team members includes Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi, Abdullah Al Marri, Hamad Al Karbi, Ali Al Karbi, Mohammed Al Owais and Mohammed Al Kumaiti.

Khaled Al Eid, coach of the UAE equestrian team, said that racing tracks and stables at Al Forsan International Sports Resort were chosen for the final training camp ahead of the championship because of their standards which meet the training requirements of the team.

“The Nations Cup is an important championship which could lead the team to qualify for the Nations Cup finals in Barcelona this year, as only the first and second top riders from Arab countries will have the chance to qualify. As such, we decided to train at Al Forsan International Sports Resort to provide the national team with a suitable environment. The training camp is expected to conclude this Tuesday,” Eid said.

Hisham Abdel Rahim Al Hosani, Director of Equestrian at Al Forsan International Sports Resort, said: “We are proud to be hosting the training camp for the UAE equestrian team who will participate in the President’s Cup.

“The resort has taken all necessary measures and precautions to set up this camp, with all indoor and outdoor stables and training tracks being fully equipped. The resort has several air-conditioned stables and tracks which meet international standards, in addition to a five-star hotel and a 24-hour veterinary clinic.”
