The Abu Dhabi Schools Champions Gymnastics competitions successfully concluded last weekend. The final day was held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in the presence of Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), and Hussein Murad, CEO of Inspiratus, the organising company of the competition, amid a large crowd of cheering parents, coaches and supporters who came out to support the young gymnasts battling it out for the gold.
The Finals for the remainining six sports, originally scheduled for March 14, will be held at a later date to be communicated shortly.
In Cycle 1 boys Floor, Masato Mizuguchi from the Japanese School of Abu Dhabi took home the gold with 9.5 points, while Aniket Nayak from the Private International English School clinched the silver with 9.1 points. The bronze medal went to Ghaith Al Kindy from Al Afaaq School, who earned 8.8 points.
In Cycle 1 girls, level 2, Lana Hafez Nouh from Al Najah Private School was declared winner in Vault with 9.7 points. Lara Majdi Alnajjar from Horizon Private School came in second with 9.55 points while Dana Fadi Mustafa Doulh from International Community School earned third place with 9.5 points.
In Bar, Cycle 1, level 1, Maria El Zyr from Lycee Louis Massignon School, claimed the gold with 9.8 points and Ameera Fadi Mustafa Doulh from International Community School bagged the silver with 9.7 points, whereas Shahd Ramy El Shammaa from Lycee Louis Massignon won bronze with 9.5 points.
In Cycle 1 girls Beam Apparatus, Hanabi Mizuguchi from the Japanese School of Abu Dhabi scored 9.9 points to claim the top spot followed by Boonnita Cig from Repton School and Yara Majdi Alnajjar from Horizon Private School, who were tied for silver with 9.8 points each. Haripriya Singh from Amity School earned third place with 9.75 points.
