During a ceremony to mark Pakistan’s Defence Day, a Para Taekwondo Centre for people of determination was launched in Sharjah for the first time on Sunday.
Due to COVID-19 restriction a limited Belt promotion test ceremony was also conducted at Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah (PSCS).
UAE Taekwondo Federation and Pakistan Taekwondo Federation’s Colonel wasim Ahmed Janjua appreciated the initiatives taken to promote Taekwondo and Para Taekwondo in the UAE as well as across the globe.
People gathered at Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah to mark the Pakistan Defence Day included President of Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah Khalid Hussain Chaudhry, General Secretary Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed, Sports Secretary Imran Saab, Grand Master Zeyad Hammad Abu Zahieh UAE Taekwondo Federation / Technical Committee Member Kukkiwon Advisory Committee Member / world Taekwondo HQ.

Others present at the occasion were Master Dr. Shahzad Tahir General Secretary Para Taekwondo wing Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Master Salman Shakil Sheikh, Head Coach, International and National and International Refree and Coach of International Schools of Taekwondo Association Pakistan and UAE and many other dignitaries.
Para Taekwondo is Martial Arts game for special needs athletes in which kids learn Taekwondo and Fitness Training and coaches focus on kids’ health to help them become normal children.
UAE Taekwondo Federation's recently began online Seminar for Para Taekwondo Training for coaches and Athletes, Grand Master Zeyad Hammad Abu Zahieh briefly explained and told about UAE Taekwondo Federation's Initiative to train around 10,000 trainees all around the World.
Master Salman Shakil Sheikh became the first Pakistani coach of Para Taekwondo at Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah and Sharjah UAE.
Dr. Shahzad also explained Para Taekwondo to the gathering.

New Athletes who were promoted to new belts and Kups, were Miss Sarah Salman Sheikh from Pakistan was promoted to Green to Blue double promotion with Gold Medal.
Brahmudate Binu Raj from India promoted to Blue belt and Kup with excellent performance got double promotion and gold medal, Muhammad Tanveer Tahir from India was promoted to Sr.Green belt and Kup, Huzaifa Anjum from Pakistan promoted to Sr.Green Belt and Kup, and gold medal, Rithvik Vineeth promoted Sr Yellow and Kup with gold medal, Shiza Salman Sheikh promoted to Yellow belt and Kup with gold medal the youngest Taekwondo star of Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah.
Coach Barkha Ramesh Kolhi from Sindh Pakistan received Gold Medal as she won In International Competition as a Coaches Competition of Ecuador Taekwondo Federation, Ecuador.
Participating as Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah Athlete, Coach Laiba Muhammad from Pakistan also won three Gold Medals and Isra Musa from Morocco resident of Al Ain also won International Gold Medal as of participant Athlete Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah UAE.
