The UAE tennis fraternity expressed shock at the news of the passing away of Slah Bramly, Technical Secretary of the UAE Tennis Federation (UAETF).
Bramly, who was not keeping well in recent times, died of a massive heart attack in his native country Tunisia on Wednesday.
His funeral took place later that evening. The UAETF has also mourned the death of Bramly.
“UAE Tennis Federation mourns the death of our colleague Bramli, who passed away at dawn today, in his country, Tunisia. We ask God to forgive him, and may God bless him with his mercy, and to inspire his family with patience and solace,” the federation said in a statement.
UAE tennis players also paid tributes to Bramly. "Terribly sad to get this news today. Deepest condolences to family and friends of Bramly.”
"Bramly has been one of my mentors," a local tennis player said. "I've had several conversations with him and also of course when we see each other live in the past couple of years.”
