Al Jazira defender Khalifa Al Hammadi put all the speculations to an end by committing his future to his childhood club Al Jazira with a five-year deal.
Hammadi has been a main cog in the wheel of Al Jazira, since making his professional debut with the club three years ago when he was just 19 years old.
After signing the deal, Hamamdi expressed his delight, saying: “It is like a dream come true to further extend the contract with the club, where I made my debut. I am very proud of whatever I have achieved with the club so far.
“This is my childhood club. I learnt the tricks of the trade here only. I am grateful for the opportunities that Al Jazira has given me,” he added after the signing ceremony.
“We have a great squad and prolific players, who make it all the more important. I am looking forward to a long stay at the club,” he concluded.
The five-year long deal means that he will render his services to the club till 2025 at least. The defender is a home grown talent of the capital’s club.
Hammadi has played in all six of Al Jazira’s Arabian Gulf League fixtures this season as well as featuring for the UAE national team’s fixtures earlier this month.
Al Jazira are at the fourth spot in the table after six matches with 11 points. They have procured three wins, two draws and have been defeated once this season.
