The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is organizing the second edition of Ajman Sea Festival highlighted by Jet Ski Marathon.
The Jet Ski Marathon is open for professionals and beginners.
The festival is being held on Friday in cooperation with UAE Marine Sports Federation, under the supervision of Dubai International Marine Club for the second year in a row, with the support of Ajman Police, Dubai Police, and the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority.
The Jet Ski Marathon takes place with the support of Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Chairman of Ajman Tourism. Sheikh Abdulaziz won at last year’s competition in the over 40-year category and will be participating in this edition as well, to attract a huge number of participants.
Registration is open for both professionals and beginners through the official website of Dubai International Marine Club daily until Thursday. The marathon includes two categories: the open category for professionals, and beginners (sitting) for 40-years old and above for 60 minutes, along with prizes worth more than Dhs100,000.
Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, said: “We at Ajman Tourism continue to introduce various sporting activities, and organize diverse events that are aimed at enhancing the Emirate’s position as a prominent tourist destination in providing a unique experience for tourists and visitors.”
Mohammad Abdulla Harib, CEO of Dubai International Marine Club, said that Dubai International Marine Club looks forward to maintaining the trust of Ajman Tourism officials to supervise Ajman Sea Festival for the second edition. He further expressed that this event represents a significant opportunity for the club to maintain ongoing cooperation with Ajman Tourism to foster new partnerships in the future.
Ajman’s Jet Ski Marathon is being hosted keeping every precautionary and safety measure in place including temperature checks for all participants, wearing masks and gloves during the race, limiting the number of participants and ensuring social distancing.
