Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has signed an agreement with Amina Hospitals to sponsor the second edition of Ajman Half Marathon (21.1km).
Organised by Al Qudra Sports Management, the second edition of Amina Hospitals Half Marathon- Ajman will be held on Dec.25 at Al Zorah and aims to attract more than 400 participants.
The agreement was signed by Badr Ibrahim Al Zarooni, Deputy General Manager of Al Qudra Sports Management, and Mohamed Ali Al Omari, COO of Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group, in the presence of Saud Al Jasmi, Head of Events at ATDD, Shafiq Ajour, Operations Manager, Ali Al Shafie, HR Manager, and several directors at the Hospital.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department said:“We are delighted to organize this marathon which is a part of Ajman Tourism’s community races that is aimed to reinforce Ajman’s position as a prominent sports and tourist’s destination. This marathon comes in line with the directives of our wise leaders who believe in the importance of sports as a means of strengthening the noble bonds among different segments of society.”
Zarooni, Deputy General Manager of Al Qudra Sports Management, said that Al Qudra Sports will ensure organizing a safe and successful race that will positively reflect on the services provided by the Amina Hospitals.
Omari, COO of Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group, said, “We are pleased to sponsor this event which is a reflection of Anglo Arabian Healthcare and Amina Hospitals’ commitment in playing an active role in the community. This event comes as a part of our ongoing efforts in supporting major sports’ events that are aimed to attract a large number of participants.”
Amina Hospitals Half Marathon- Ajman carries a prize purse of Dhs22,000.
Participation is open for both professionals and beginners, including the following categories: Emirati- men, Emirati- women, the open category- men, and the open category-women.
All community races are being hosted with precautionary and safety measures in place including temperature checks for all participants, wearing masks and gloves during the race, limiting the number of participants and ensuring social distancing.
