The Sharjah Sports Club announced the death of Sultan Saeed Miftah, 20, the player of the U-21 soccer team on Saturday evening, after a struggle with illness.
The Club mourned on its twitter account its former player.

In a statement posted on social media, Sharjah FC announced that 20-year-old Miftah, an Emirati player for the Under-21 football team, died on Saturday evening after battling an illness. The football club did not disclose more details about the disease.
“The Sharjah Sports Club extends their deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the late Sultan Saeed Moftah.
We ask God to bless the deceased with mercy, and to grant patience and comfort to his parents, ”the club posted on its official Twitter account.
Miftah, who was born in Ajman, played as a defender for Sharjah club.
Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, paid tribute to the late footballer and offered his condolences to the family of the deceased.
“Our condolences to the Sharjah Club family on the death of player Sultan Saeed Miftah, the 21-year-old squad player and our youth squad, and ask Almighty God to have mercy on his soul.”
