Khalifa Al Nuaimi took top spot in the Emirati men category of the second edition of the Amina Hospitals Half Marathon — Ajman held at Al Zorah in Ajman on Friday.
Nuaimi produced a dominating performance during the race and finished much ahead of his rivals. Mouza Al Ghafli emerged winner in Emirati women category race. Anouar El Ghouz and Latefa Essarokh bagged top honours in the open men and women categories respectively.

Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) organized the half marathon. The race was held with the support of Amina Hospitals and in collaboration with Al Qudra Sports Management, along with the support of Al Zorah Development company and Ajman Police.

The race was held as a part of the community races launched by Ajman Tourism to reinforce Ajman’s position as a prominent sports and tourist destination, locally and internationally. It also comes as a refelction of Amina Hospitals’ commitment in playing an active role in the community and as a part of its ongoing efforts in supporting major sports’ events, which are aimed to attract a large number of participants.
Amina Hospitals Half Marathon- Ajman is the Emirate’s top racing event, in terms of the value of the prizes, worth Dhs22,000. The race was successfully hosted with the support of Pocari Sweat, keeping every precautionary and safety measure in place including Coronavirus testing, temperature checks for all participants, wearing masks and gloves during the race, limiting the number of participants, and ensuring social distancing.
