Shrey Sethi and Aryan Saxena hit centuries as Desert Cubs defeated Cleopatra Academy by a huge margin of 218 runs in their U-15 match at the ongoing Gulf Cup.
Both the players were in stellar form and shared a 279-run stand to help Cubs post a huge total of 320 runs in their 30 overs.
After posting a huge total of 320, Cubs restricted Cleopatra to a paltry 122.
Sethi smashed an unbeaten 154 while Aryan smashed 154 not out. Sethi’s innings was studded with 16 fours and two sixes and while Aryan hit 12 boundaries and three sixes. Parin Sethi was the pick of the bowlers as he took four wickets, conceding four runs.
Gulf Cup is one of the most prestigious domestic tournaments and the players like England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes have played in the tourney.
The tournament has also produced some international stars like Rohan Mustafa, Rameez Shahzad and the current captain captain Ahmed Raza.
This is the 20th edition of the tournament. More than 70 teams and 800 players are taking part in the tournament which is being played across five different age categories have played.
