Instead of resting on the past laurels, the Sharjah Self Defense Sports Club hope to capitalise on the gains of the past season.
During the coronavirus pandemic, the Sharjah Self Defense Sports Club hosted webinars during which top regional athletes and stars shed light on tackling the pandemic situation.
The Sharjah Self Defense Sports Club management also ensured online training classes for the athletes and implemented all the UAE’s COVID-19 health and precautionary guidelines after the club opened for sporting activities.
Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais, president of the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, said: The club is looking forward to achieving technical and administrative gains during the year 2021, in order to consolidate what has been achieved in the last season.

“The most important of which is in the aspect of developing knowledge, exploring new talents, winning tournaments and medals.
“To achieve the desired goals, the club has to adopt best experiences, new training methods, and global plans to be selected and later applied successfully at the club.
“This stems from the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who stresses that children should practice sports as a strong shield to face the societal and health challenges of the age.
“Our job is to then iron out any technical difficulties and ensure that the fighters are mentally ready to take on the pressure of an international tournament,” he said.
“Working with the best international practices is a strategic approach for us in the club at all times and in all directions, as it shortens the way towards more exemplary gains,” Owais signed off.
