An exciting opportunity is up for grab for the aspiring cricketers to showcase their talent as yet another edition of the prestigious Four Nations got under way in Sharjah on Saturday.
The tournament will played through to April 6 and will be held across different venues. The tournament will be played at MCC 1, Eden Garden, MC 2, Oval Ajman, Bataya and Skyline.
A total of 56 teams, comprising of more than 700 players will vie for the top honours in the 15-day long tournament. UAE’s leading academies are taking part and Desert Cubs Cricket Academy (DCCA) with 16 teams is fielding maximum number of teams in this tournament.
The tournament is being organised by Young Talents Goltay in association with Desert Cubs Cricket Academy and will be played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council (ACC).
The tourney is being managed by the former UAE player Shahzad Altaf, Mahesh Fonseka Presley Polonnowita and Anoj Silva, Directors of YTCA and Desert Cubs.
There will be 5 trophies up for grab. Teams will vie for the top honours in five different age categories for respective titles, namely U10, U11, U13, U15 & U17. More than 100 matches will be played during a period of 15 days. The tournament is being sponsored by Our Souq.
