The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) and took place in association with Emirates Bodybuilding Federation (EBBF).
Carrying a prize purse of over Dhs100,000, the Ajman Bodybuilding and Physique Competition attracted more than 220 participants from different parts of the world with more than half a million followers through various social media platforms.
Muhammad Hussain came in the first place in the Physique category, Weligamage Dias in Classic Physique, Mark Banzon in Master Classic, and Chinedu Obiekea in Bodybuilding - General category.
Sofia Maloletova came in the first place in the Women's Bikini category, and Yulianna Anikieieva in Women's Fit Model.
The competition was the first one of its kind globally to use the electronic judging system, developed by the International Bodybuilding Judge, Tarik Khalil.
The system was developed in collaboration with a specialised software development team and under the supervision and support of EBBF.
The electronic system minimised the registration time as well as enabled uploading the competitors’ documents, their stage music, and the logos of their sponsors.
The system also eliminated the need to use CDs and memory sticks.
The competition was held in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Dr. Adel Fahim Executive Assistant and First Vice President of the International Federation and President of the Egyptian, Arab and African Federations of bodybuilding, and Saud Abdulaziz Al Jasmi Head of Events at Ajman Tourism Development Department.
