Thor Bjornsson has vowed to knock out Eddie Hall after he gained more vital experience with an entertaining exhibition bout against Simon Vallily.
Bjornsson and Vallily were going head to head at the Conrad Dubai on Friday, with the event broadcast around the globe on Coresports.World.
It was non-stop action from start to finish of the exhibition, with both men throwing heavy bombs at one another throughout the fight, with both Thor and Vallily’s chins getting tested, according to MTK report.
The fight was Bjornsson’s latest exhibition bout ahead of his highly-anticipated showdown with strongman rival Hall, with the two set to meet in ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History’ in September.
Bjornsson and Vallily were both extremely respectful of one another following the fight, and Thor had another message for his nemesis Hall.
Bjornsson said: “Eddie Hall, you better be training because I’m coming for you and I’m knocking you out. I respect you as an athlete but I’m going to knock you out. See you soon.
“Simon was a good opponent for me and it was good to test my chin, as well as my ability to fight in the ring with a professional. He gave me some good shots that landed well, so thanks to him for coming here for this exhibition.
“I was happy with my performance. I’ve dedicated my life to boxing my training three times a day, and I have huge respect for the sport. It’s mind-boggling how difficult this is. I come from a sport where you don’t need a lot of endurance, but this is testing not only my physical abilities but my mental abilities.
“I’m full time boxing right now and absolutely loving it. Thanks for everybody who came out here tonight and thanks to all of the people watching at home.”
Vallily said: “Credit to Thor. I saw his last fight and since then he has put in a lot of work and definitely proved. He has got a lot of potential.
“He was awkward and big lump, and when he was getting physical you can feel the difference definitely. I’ve loved my time out here so thanks to MTK Global who I’m fortunate enough to be managed by. It’s been brilliant.”
