UAE Team Emirates' Tadej Pogacar maintained his strangle hold at Tour De France with a successive win at the 18th stage on Thursday.

With the victory, the defending champions also extended his overall lead at the championship, as the Tour is just a few stages away from culmination.

After the win the UAE Team Emirates rider called it a child's play. He won the grueling mountain stage with ease, outracing his closest rivals Jonas Vingegaard and Richard Carapaz.

"I felt good and I'm really happy with the win. It's a game for me, I'm enjoying playing it," said Pogacar.

Pogacar is on course to retain his Tour De France title, barring a catastrophe, with a huge of lead of six minutes. He also completed the third stage victory in this edition of the Tour.

Soon after the victory, Pogacar rule out any complacency and shifted his focus on time-trial.

"You can lose six minutes over 30km like that," he added after the win.

Tour de France is a 20-stage competition that is run over a period of almost 22 days. It is the most prestigious cycling Tour and carries a legacy over hundred years.
