The UAE Pro League Committee (PLC) unveiled the calendar for the first-half of the new season, which gets under way on Aug.19, 2021.
On the opening day of the match-week one, Emirates and Shabab Al Ahli will get the ball rolling in an early fixture to kick-start the new season, elsewhere Al Orooba and Al Wahda will be in action at the same time, which will be followed by Ajman and Al Nasr match at 9:30pm.
Al Orooba and Emirates were promoted to the top flight after Fujairah and Hatta got relegated.
Both Al Urooba and Emirates booked their berths in the top flight with facile wins over Al Dhaid and Masafi on the penultimate match day of the season.
Emirates are making a return to the top flight after playing in the first divison for two seasons while Al Urooba regained the promotion after a long absence of 30 years. Last time they featured in the top flight back in 1992-93 season.
Meanwhile, Al Jazira showed a resilient performance after a sluggish start to claim the title. Sharjah were leading the top table for the first nine weeks of the season, before a slump in form combined with injuries in the middle of the season derailed their campaign and they went on finish fourth.
Defending champions Al Jazira will begin the title defence against Al Dhafra on the second day of the matchweek one.
