Women softball event get the ball rolling at Olympics as Brisbane named 2032 Games host

Women got the ball rolling at the Tokyo Olympics with softball event while Brisbane was named as the host city for the 2032 Games on Wednesday.

Brisbane will become the third Australian city to host the Olympics after Melbourne and Sydney following a successful bid that won the vote unanimously.

After the announcement of Brisbane as the host city, the whole country erupted into joy, as the Australian sky was filled colorful firework. Paris will stage the sporting extravaganza in 2024 while Los Angeles will host it in 2028.

However, Great Britain got their campaign off to a winning start with a 2-0 romp of Chile, Brazil crush China 5-0 and Zambia were routed by Netherland 10-3.
