Manchester City is close to completing a huge deal to include Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo from Italian Juventus, amid widespread anticipation, according to press reports.
Although "Juve" insists so far on the survival of the 36-year-old, Italian media reported that the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star decided to pack his bags and leave.
Sky Sport Italia indicated that the Portugal captain emptied his cupboard at Juventus, and is reluctant to take part in the Old Lady's next match against Empoli this week.
As for the Italian newspaper, “Gazzetta dello Sport”, the headline was “Bye, Cristiano, Ronaldo chose to leave Juventus and go to Man City, things will be over within 24 hours.”
Italian media said that Cristiano Ronaldo's private plane left Turin for an unknown destination, as rumours of an imminent move to Manchester City gather pace.
The hour of truth is approaching, especially since the transfer market is officially closed on Tuesday.
Manchester City have been linked with a deal that included the five-time World Player of the Year award in the recent period strongly, especially after the failure to sign England and Tottenham captain Harry Kane.
The main obstacle still lies in the player's transfer value, as it was reported that the Italian club aspires to obtain 25 million euros.
With one year remaining on Ronaldo's contract with Juve, his name has also been linked in recent weeks with a move to Paris Saint-Germain or a return to Madrid.
