The UAE Tennis Federation is being organising 10 tournaments this September including seven ranking and three other junior development competitions.
The events are part of the opening of the new headquarters of the Puca Pro Tennis Academy in the Topspin Sports Centre Al Jadaf in Dubai for boys and girls.
The competitions will be held for U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-18 years which is in line with the federation's plan to return to court after the summer holidays.
Naser Al Marzouqi, General Secretary of the UAE Tennis Federation, praised the resumption of sports tournaments. He also stressed upon the need to adhere to the precautionary measures recommended by the health authorities in the country and to keep pace with the recovery phase pursued by the UAE.
Marzouqi praised the opening of new tennis courts in cooperation with academies and what contributes to expanding the geographical area of the game in the country.
Milan Radjenovic, director of Puca Pro Tennis Academy, said: “The new tennis center are part of the project to open seven new courts to encourage tennis in the country in cooperation with the Tennis Federation.”
