Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav led from the front as India defeated a depleted England in the fourth Test by 157 runs to take 2-1 series lead on Monday.
England, who are playing without key players like Ben Stokes, Stuart Broad, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, saw a dramatic collapse and were bundled out for 210.
Chasing a target of 366 to win, what would have been the biggest chase at the Oval, England got off to a flying start as the openers Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed put on century partnership for the first wicket.
Shardul Thakur triggered the skid to give India first breakthrough on the final day after the openers had completed a century stand.
Soon after the dismissal of Burns, Haseeb was dismissed by Jadeja as England lost two wickets for 120. David Malan could not last long as he fell short of his crease.
England failed to capitalise on their start and kept on losing the wickets in quick succession.
Bumrah got rid of Olli Pope and Jonny Bairstow with in a span of nine deliveries and Jadeja removed Moeen Ali for a nought to reduce England to 147-6 from 140-2.
Yadav wiped out the tail as spineless England batting collapsed like stack of cards.
Yadav picked up three wickets while Bumrah, Thakur and Jadeja took two each, conceding 27, 22 and 50 runs respectively.
