Progressive filly Silent Escape gained her fourth win from five starts after beating D’bai and Al Suhail in the Listed Dubai Duty Free Cup at Newbury on Friday.
The daughter of New Approach was soon sent to the front of the 15 runners by Oisin Murphy and stayed on powerfully to score by a length and a half over D’bai, with another three-quarters of a length back to Al Suhail in third.
Her trainer Saeed Bin Suroor said: “Silent Escape is a nice filly, who is improving all the time. It’s nice to see her go from handicaps to beating some strong opposition at this level. We have no plans for her and we could take her out to Dubai.”
Oisin Murphy added: “There was a lot of strength in depth today and I was a huge step up on what Silent Escape achieved on her latest start at Sandown. She is very receptive – she listens, picks up and does everything nicely. She has loads of size, so I hope that she is still progressing physically.”
