Introducing another sport, the Tennis and Country Club Fujairah launched their first-ever Padel tennis courts in the emirate.
Following the success of swimming and squash facilities, the two newly built Padel tennis courts were launched in a glittering ceremony that took place at the club under the patronage of Dr Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamad Al Sharqi.
Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, and Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi also graced the ceremony.
Dr Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Ahmed were welcomed by Abdul Ghafour Bahrzoyian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fujairah Tennis Club in the presence of Engineer Ali Qassem, Director General of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, and several dignitaries.
An exhibition match took place between Sheikh Abdulla and players from Dubai and Fujairah.
Captain Nasr Al Niadi, Batata, Khaled Khalaf, and Matar Khalaf took part in the exhibition matches. Abdul Ghafoor said: “We are proud of the launching of our new Padel tennis facility which is the first of its kind in Fujairah.
“We aim to spread the popularity of this exciting sport of Padel, which is a fast-paced social sport, that is suitable for all ages,” he added.
