Celebrating the UAE’s golden jubilee, Emirati motocross champion and Red Bull athlete Mohammed Al Balooshi toured all seven emirates in honour of the UAE’s 50th anniversary.
Setting out to explore the country’s heritage and its natural beauty on this momentous occasion, Balooshi travelled the seven emirates and granted insight into each of their characters. His journey began at Fujairah Fort and continued with stops at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah; Flag Park in Ajman; Sailfish roundabout and the mangrove forests in Umm Al Quwain; ‘Fossil Rock’ and ‘House of Wisdom’ in Sharjah; and Gold Souk, Dubai Frame and Union House in Dubai; concluding his tour in Abu Dhabi, with stops at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Emirates Palace, Qasr Al Watan and the corniche.
Capping off this experiential journey, Balooshi was joined by fellow Red Bull athletes Ahmad Daham, a drifting champion and Guinness World Record holder, and Omeir Saeed, a wakeboarding champion and double Guinness World Record holder. The three of them partook in a head-turning stunt befitting of their collective experiences.
Balooshi is one of the UAE’s leading motocross riders, with countless wins under his belt across several competitions worldwide, including 1st place in the 2018 FIM Cross-Country Bajas World Cup; he was named ‘Sportsman of the Year’ that same year by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. Balooshi is also a multiple Middle East MX Champion and the owner of MX Academy, the largest motocross and enduro school in the Middle East.
