The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) hosted the December’s edition of UAE National Monthly Medal sponsored by Mashreq Bank at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
Over 50 UAE national golfers gathered to compete across five different divisions. General Abdullah Al Hashemi took advantage of playing at his home course with an impressive overall victory.
The December UAE National Monthly Medal was graced by Eemirates Golf Federation Chairman, Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and other members of the board playing in this month’s event.
Winning the National Monthly Medal was General Hashemi with an impressive 43 stableford points (78 gross score). General Hashemi said: “It’s always a pleasure playing at my home course [Abu Dhabi Golf Club]. I think that it gave me an advantage.

We are happy to see the Mashreq brand attached to these events again. Their support is greatly appreciated.”
Touching on the EGF and Mashreq Bank partnership, Mariam Al Hammadi, SVP and Head of Emirati Segment at Mashreq Bank, said: “We are delighted to have sponsored the Emirates Golf Federation’s UAE National Monthly Medal. As a bank with deep roots in the UAE and a long-standing commitment to the national community, we believe that this event will serve as an important platform to encourage and inspire the next generation of Emirati golfers.
“We congratulate all players who participated and look forward to seeing more local talent shine in the future.”
