The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) hosted the January UAE National Monthly Medal sponsored by eGolf Megastore at Al Zorah Golf Club.
41 UAE national golfers gathered to compete across four different divisions. National Team player Hami Faqihinejad played a fantastic round of golf and collected the overall victory.
Faqihinejad emerged winner with 39 stableford points (76 gross score).
“I’ve been practicing a lot and its finally paying off. It is nice to be able to compete in these events while I am on break from college,” Faqihinejad.
“I am looking forward to next month’s UAE Presidents Cup. The course was in great condition and the greens were rolling perfect. Also having eGolf as the sponsor and providing great prizes gave us more incentive to play well.”

Finishing as the runner-up for the event was Mohamed Al Dabal 36 points and National Team Member Obaid Al Heloo fired a 77, to win the Best Gross Prize.
In the Senior Division, for those who are 50 years of age or older, Sultan Abdulali collected 35 points to win the division.
Awards were also given based on handicap with an A-Division (0-14 handicap) and B-Division (14-24 handicap) winners.
Winning the A-Division Prize was Mohammed Darwish with 36 Stableford Points. Mohammed Al Nuaimi won the Division-B prize with 22 Stableford Points.
For the Ladies Division Aysha Al Mualla won with 34 stableford points after a countback. Finishing in Second Place was National Team player Reema Al Heloo with 34 points.
In the Junior Division, the EGF had 12 juniors compete for the top three spots. Coming in First Place was Sultan Al Owais with 40 points. Finishing in Second Place after a countback was Sultan Al Jassmey with 35 points and rounding off the top-three was Abdulla Al Suwaidi with 37 points.
Next month the EGF will be hosting the UAE Presidents Cup on February 19-20 at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
