Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, received a delegation from the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation and the UAE Muay Thai national team.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour congratulated the team and the federation’s administrative and technical personnel for the results they achieved in recent tournaments, lauding the distinguished performances of the team’s competitors and wishing them further successes.
Sheikh Mansour expressed his appreciation for the federation’s key role in promoting the sport locally and improving the skills of the team’s competitors.
Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, Chairman of the Federation, lauded the significant attention given by Sheikh Mansour and his support for the sport, which have had a positive effect on its development, adding that the federation will exert further efforts to ensure the excellence of Emirati teams in all sporting competitions.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, Chairman of the Federation, President of the Arab Muay Thai Federation and Vice President of the Asian Federation, and Tarek Hazeem Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Federation, and several sporting officials.
The UAE national team has achieved many recent successes, including 14 gold, silver and bronze medals during the World Muay Thai Championships held in Thailand in October 2021, where Muhammad Mardi won gold in the youth category, and Muhammad Bilal also won gold in the junior category while Samir Noureddine won the bronze medal. Elias Habib Ali also won the title of the main fight in the Muay Thai Championship (Night Expo) held at Expo 2020 Dubai.
