Manchester City continued their relentless journey towards the glory by winning yet another English Premier League title on Sunday.
There could not have been a better climax to their stellar season, which ended in a fairy tale finish. City came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-2 on the last day of the season to thump their nearest rivals Liverpool and stamp their authority on the title which has become synonymous with them.
The title race went down to the wire as the match see-sawed and gave goose bumps to the spectators every second of the longest-ever ninety minutes for the die-hard fans.
The match against Villa, depicted emotions, drama and a scare, which saw City almost spurning away a two-point lead over Liverpool before a miraculous comeback put the speculations to an end as the champions bought the bragging rights.
With the final whistle, the celebration began across the world. The frenzied fans were engulfed by euphoria and took to the streets from London to Dubai and Melbourne to Los Angeles and partied hard till the dawn.
Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, owner of the City Football Group, led the celebrations with a tweet, congratulating the club, players and officials and aficionados after the incredible triumph, which sent a shiver down the spine of the football lovers across the globe.

City supporters around the world, particularly in the UAE, were on the cloud nine after the club won the fourth title in five years. The Abu Dhabi-owned club lifted the spirit of the fans and erased the Champions League heartache by giving them more reasons to celebrate.
“We are ecstatic with the performance of our beloved team. They held their nerve and emerged winners when it mattered the most,” said Mohammad Affan, who is an ardent fan of City.
“It really delights you when the team you support with all your passion and heart, wins the title. We are lucky to have been able to experience that feeling over and again in the last few years,” said an elated Mohammad Sadiq Attar, who hails from India and has been a fan of the club since he came to the UAE.
“We are reveling in joy. They played like champions throughout the season. Keeping the current City squad at par with that of Sir Alex Ferguson’s invincible Manchester United will not be an exaggerated comparison. Four titles in five, that is incredible,” said Naved Ahmed, who is a purser in Emirates Airlines.
“This victory is a testimony of the contribution of the wise leadership in the sport sector. Football runs in the blood of the Emiratis and it remains the most loved sports in the country.
“The victory will inspire many aspiring youngsters to play the game with more fervor and pursue their dreams. The win will also boost the confidence of the UAE national team who are holding on to their hopes of making it to the World Cup finals,” said Zafar Ahmed.
Since the takeover by Sheikh Mansour, City are on rampage and bulldozed every obstacle that came in their way, marching towards their ambitions and scaling new heights.
Sheikh Mansour transformed a mediocre team into one of the most decorated clubs of the world with his vision. The Manchester club has won eight Premier League titles in their history, six of them have come in last 11 years under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour.
City won the first title in 2012, breaking a 44-year jinx with Roberto Mancini as manager. The triumph ushered in the era of dominance. Since then, they have succeeded by leaps and bound with the club winning the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League in 2012, both being their first since the 1960s, followed by another League title in 2014.
Signing of Pep Guardiola as their coach proved be a watershed moment in the history of the club. The trophy-laden cabinet at the Etihad Stadium is a testimony of the unprecedented rise. They became the only club to reach the magical figure 100 points in 2018.
The following year was even more fruitful as the seeds sown early had started yielding. City went on to complete sweep of all domestic trophies in England and becoming the first English team to win the treble.
Not only on the domestic level, City have been a team to reckon with at the continental stage as they made it to the Champions League final in 2021 before reaching semis in 2022.
