Egyptian Mo Salah extends Liverpool contract till 2025 at £350,000 a week

Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah extended his contract with Liverpool on Friday that will reportedly run until 2025.
Liverpool announced, on Friday, the renewal of Mohamed Salah’s contract until June 2025.
Liverpool did not reveal the financial value of Mohamed Salah's contract renewal at Anfield, but British newspaper reports said that Salah had become the highest-paid player in Liverpool's history.
Salah's new deal will reportedly make him the club's highest paid player of all-time on £350,000 ($425,000) a week until 2025.
That comes down to approximately £18.5 million yearly.
Salah, who has scored 156 goals in 254 appearances for Liverpool, had entered the final year of his previous contract with talks stalling over the 30-year-old's wage demands.
Fabrizio Romano, the famous players' agent, indicated, in a tweet on the social networking site Twitter, that the German Jurgen Klopp, the coach of the Reds, played a major role in the negotiations between Mohamed Salah and Liverpool, as he persuaded the Egyptian star to continue with the team, being an essential element in the club's plans and future project.
Mohamed Salah said, in statements to the official Liverpool website, after extending the contract, "I feel very happy, and I think this is a happy day for everyone in Liverpool, I am looking forward to winning more titles with the club. It took some time, but now everything is fine."

He added, "Liverpool was close to achieving the quartet last season, but we lost two trophies in a few days, and I think we are in a strong position to compete fiercely for all titles in the future. We have new deals, we will work hard to win, and we have a clear and good vision to strive for titles again."
Retaining Salah is a massive boost to Liverpool's chances of continued success under Klopp, who also signed a new deal to remain in charge until 2026 in April.
Liverpool had already lost one key player this summer when Sadio Mane joined Bayern Munich after six years at Anfield.
However, Darwin Nunez's arrival from Benfica for a fee that could rise to a club record 100 million euros (£85 million, $105 million) has softened that blow.
