As a monster truck crushes cars to the crowd's delight as part of a free Detroit Auto Show event, visitors flock to take pictures of Bigfoot 20, the world's first electric monster truck.
The Ford-built model, which weighs around 11,000 pounds, marks its 10th anniversary this year, having made its public debut in 2012, and is so far the only monster truck with a battery-powered electric motor.
Elliott Miller, owner and event producer, Monster Truck Throwdown, said, “This runs on pure methanol. It runs probably about 1,400 horsepower. There's only one electric monster truck in the world. It's here with us in Detroit.

"I missed it. I used to come every year since I was about 13," said 76-year-old Charlie Thornton Jr.
Kate Gavin, Detroit paramedic said, “I love it. This is awesome. Yeah, very fun. We're excited to see the show. It's cool to see all the trucks and get pictures."
Marsha Clement said, “And I know I've never seen trucks with wheels that big, so it's new to me."
