The Board of Directors of the UAE Badminton Federation, headed by its President Noura Hassan Al Jasmi, announced the distribution of administrative positions to its board members during a meeting held at the federation headquarters in Dubai.
The Board named Salem Khamis Al Mazrouei as the Vice President, Nasser Khamis Al Marri as Secretary General of the Federation and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, Muhammad Obaid Al Naqbi as Chairman of the Events Committee, and Sarah Al Sayegh as Chairperson of the Communication and Marketing Committee.
The Board of Directors also approved the appointment of Mona Al Sahlawi as Chairperson of the Investment Committee, Fatima Ibrahim Al Muslimi as Chairperson of the Social Responsibility Committee, and Hussain Muhammad Al Amiri as Financial Director.
Noura, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, confirmed that the board decided to distribute positions to members according to their expertise in various fields enabling each of them to support the Federation in the best possible way.
Noura emphasised that the UAE Badminton Federation has a clear and thoughtful plan to grow the game in various sectors, such as schools and clubs, and organise competitions at different levels.
The programme also includes participation in international tournaments, which will be announced later.
“Paving the building blocks for forming and nurturing a team that can participate and win laurels in various regional and international tournaments is the top priority of the Federation,” said Noura.
The chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Federation also pointed out that since the formation of the new Board of the Federation, there have been many consultations to develop a well-studied plan for an Olympic Champion project during the next stage. “The Emirati players have all the capabilities to win titles and achieve on the international stage,” she added.
