I see a lot of potential in UAE, says coach Salman

Salman Hashmi, ex-professional squash player of Pakistan, is upbeat about the prospect of growth of the sport in the UAE.
He is at the aviation club and oversees the development of the sport and the young aspiring players at the grass-root level in UAE. He sees great potential in the UAE.
“I think there is a lot of talent in UAE as the kids are very athletic but need guidance towards the game of squash.
“I believe with proper training we can have Arab national juniors champions from UAE as well,” said Salman.
Salman has a huge part in making his brother Farhan Hashmi an Asian junior champion, who went on to represent Pakistan at the world's junior squash championships.
Salman is currently training the top players in the category along with U17 boys champion Vishal Venket and girls champion Shreya Singh in Dubai.
Salman did his initial training in Rawalpindi, Pakistan where he was born. Salman has also won many national and international junior and senior events in Pakistan.
Pakistan is known for churning out world class squash players. Jahangir is a former World No. 1 squash player. He won the World Open title six times, and the British Open title ten times. Jahangir Khan is widely regarded as the greatest squash player of all time.
