The Board of Directors of the Dubai Club for People of Determination reviewed its 2022-2023 strategy plan and the club's preparations for organising the 12th Fazza International Powerlifting Championship Dubai 2022 World Cup, scheduled to be held from December 10–19.
The meeting, chaired by Thani Juma Berregad, had a discussion on the development plans pertaining to infrastructure and all the facilities in the club.
The Board of Directors praised the great results achieved by the club’s various teams in local and international tournaments, and they look forward to continuing the success and process at all levels.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Abdul Karim Julfar, Vice Chairman of the Board; Hassan Al Mazrouei; Mona Hammad; Majid Al Usaimi, Executive Director; and other board members.
Berregad thanked the UAE’s wise leadership for its great interest and support for the People of Determination, which has been directed to provide all means for upgrading their abilities and talents in all fields.
"We are all trying to promote the vision of empowering the people of determination through their integration into society," the Dubai Club Chairman said.
He also thanked the Dubai Sports Council, headed by Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for the support and attention and for following up on all the details of pushing the People of Determination forward to achieve their ambitions in all fields.
"Over the years, the Fazza Championships have become an important event on the global map of People of Determination. The event has also established the role of the club and provided many inspiring stories, especially since sport is a way of life and the gateway to change for the better for the People of Determination."
He further added, "We look forward to the upcoming Fazza International Powerlifting World Cup to achieve all our goals and enhance the successes achieved by this global event."
