Sharjah Women's Sports fetes its partners in a glittering ceremony

The Sharjah Women's Sports honoured its partners in a glittering ceremony held at Aljada on Tuesday.

Amidst the presence of representatives of numerous organizations and institutions from the public and private sectors, Sharjah Women's Sports hosted the ceremony in recognition of the prominent role of partners and their efforts in supporting the organization’s progress and helping them realize its goal of establishing long-lasting partnership relationships with regional, Arab, and international institutions.

The ceremony started with a welcome of all the attendees and a speech on the great status and uniqueness that sport enjoys in the Emirate of Sharjah, which directly contributes to human well-being and happiness and reflects on society as a whole due to its vital role.

During the ceremony, a visual presentation highlighted Sharjah Women's Sports Club's achievements till 2022, where the club won 1047 medals across all the listed sports, as well as six institutional awards.

At the ceremony, a roadmap prepared by the Planning and Technical Follow-up Department at Sharjah Women's Sports was also presented, in addition to the schedule of community events in its diversity prepared by the revenue section.

The roadmap included four axes, including the development of sports teams; widening the base of players through institutional integration; creating a scientific research center; and opening sports stadiums.

Sharjah Women's Sports' Head of Media and Public Relations Department, Fatima Ahmed, emphasized that the organization is looking forward to activating and renewing partnerships, as well as retaining those that already exist.

"This helps carry out Sharjah Women's Sports’ mission of encouraging women of all ages to engage in sports activities and raise community awareness of its significance in order to support ongoing efforts to improve quality of life through the identification and development of new talents in sports and women leaders in a distinctive, well-equipped, and attractive environment."

Fatima emphasized that Sharjah Women's Sports remains committed to consolidating its strategic objectives in full coordination with its partners as well as adopting modern and innovative ideas.

"We would want to celebrate the unique success journey that our partners were a part of on this important day in our annual calendar with them. Their limitless generosity, efforts, and tireless efforts greatly influenced our success and achievements.

"As Sharjah Women's Sports continues to meet its objectives, it maintains a strong emphasis on the importance of partnership and the importance of collaboration with various institutions.

"This is in line with the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Women’s Sports, who considers integration and cooperation as key factors for the success of any business irrespective of its size.

"So, we are keen to recognize the efforts of all of the partners who have enriched our journey with their wealth of experience and deserve to be our partners in success and excellence."
